Job Summary and Description 

Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the Development Coordinator has responsibility for annual giving, major, and planned gifts. Concentrating on the impact that major and planned gifts can make, the Coordinator’s primary activity is to employ Moves Management techniques in identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding prospects including alumni, current donors, businesses, foundations, LCC employees, retirees, and other prospective supporters of the College. Incumbent will helps the annual campaign, develops a strong and balanced portfolio, and secure major and planned gifts. Assists in supporting marketing, communications, alumni, events, grants, and internal and external relations.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

 

REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher required.

Demonstrated history of cultivating, soliciting, and securing major gifts required.

Evidence of professional fundraising experience, including annual fund, major gifts, and working knowledge of grants and planned gifts required.

Experience with creating, organizing and maintaining a portfolio of major/planned donors required.

PREFERRED:

 Experience speaking in public, creating written materials for publication preferred.

Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) preferred.

Experience working in higher education environment preferred.
